Sumario:The article focuses on time in the age of algorithms. Topics include framing the algorithm as culture machine, defining the nature of computational immediacy, and describing the production of algorithmic time, the social construction of time, which has long served as an intersection for culture, technology, and our sense of conscious presence in the world, and this shift in the fundamental operating system of culture from steam and gears to atomic clocks has also changed the fundamental rules of cultural action.
