Sumario:This article brings to light new discoveries concerning the eighteenthcentury newspaper La Pensatriz Salmantina, published in Salamanca in 1777, of which only the first issue was previously known. It fits in the category of critical press and is the second known example of journalism published by women in eighteenth-century Spain (the first being La Pensadora Gaditana [1763], which it attempts to emulate). Herein are resolved some previously unknown issues that surrounded the Salamancan newspaper since its initial publication, adding details related to its debated authorship or the originality of its approach. In addition, the second number is published here in its entirety.
Este artículo tiene como objetivo dar a conocer y analizar los nuevos hallazgos aportados sobre el periódico dieciochesco La Pensatriz Salmantina publicado en Salamanca durante 1777, del que tan solo se conocía su primer número. El periódico se adscribe dentro de la prensa crítica y se trata de la segunda muestra conocida de prensa femenina en España durante el siglo XVIII, siendo su predecesora la conocida publicación de La Pensadora Gaditana (1763), a la cual emulará. En el presente texto finalmente se desvelan las incógnitas que rodeaban al periódico salmantino desde su publicación, contribuyendo a completar su estudio en relación con su debatida autoría o la originalidad de su planteamiento; desvelando asimismo el contenido íntegro del segundo número de la publicación.
