Sumario:	In a brief legend about Abraham, a Morisco author takes his readers on a journey through space to a magical island where animals talk and angels fall from Heaven. Despite these fantastic elements, by reading the legend closely, a modern reader can glean information about how Moriscos used legends to maintain their religious identity. In the legend of Abraham considered here, a combination of literary styles and references to sacrifice show us how Moriscos reformulated an archetypal religious figure within the framework of an entertaining story.
