It reflects Augustine's less known writings on two disciplines of trivium -- grammar and dialectics and one discipline of quadrivium -- music. In grammar and dialectics, the study examines the authenticity of preserved treatises, whose authorship has been disputed for centuries. Based on Augustine's work Retractationes, the study tries to mention common starting points and parallels with well-known works. De musica is the only one from presented works that is clearly attributed to Augustine. The aim of this study is to point out Augustine's influence and authority on the formation of education at the turn of antiquity and mediation of this tradition for Middle Ages. pubtype: Academic Journal doctype: Article src: R language: Slovak refInfo: copyright: @attributes: flag: Y custom: Copyright of Ostium is the property of Ostium and its content may not be copied or emailed to multiple sites without the copyright holder's express written permission.
