| Sumario: | The aim of this paper is to study hopeful existence and the function of hope in the construction of the female subject in Tezer Özlü's narratives Çocukluğun Soğuk Geceleri and Yaşamın Ucuna Yolculuk. Hope which is a source of planning and action for Tezer Özlü reflects the subject's willingness to question the relations of domination and to overcome the limits. Themes such as emancipation, resistance and recovery, which are prominent in the representation of hope, determine the processes of self-disintegration and reconstruction. Existentialism constitutes the framework of demand for being a subject as a philosophy that affects Özlü's literature. Moreover, it is seen that Özlü has formed a feminist discourse as much as an existentialist one in her understanding of humanity, her witness to crises experienced by society and the criticisms she brings to the system. The author expresses her grievances against the male-dominated society while constructing the female identity independently of traditional roles. In this respect, existentialist feminism conceptualized by Simone de Beauvoir is an important source in explaining the relationship between femininity and hopeful existence in Tezer Özlü's texts. When Tezer Özlü's literature is considered from this perspective, the search for self can be interpreted as a potential for hope. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Tezer Özlü'nün Çocukluğun Soğuk Geceleri ve Yaşamın Ucuna Yolculuk anlatılarındaki umutlu varoluşu ve kadın öznenin inşasında umut kavramının işlevini incelemektir. Tezer Özlü'de tasarı ve eyleme kaynaklık eden umut, öznenin tahakküm ilişkilerini sorgulama ve sınırları aşma istencini yansıtmaktadır. Umudun temsilinde öne çıkan özgürleşme, direnme, iyileşme gibi izlekler benliğin parçalara ayrılma ve yeniden kurulma süreçlerini belirlemektedir. Varoluşçuluk, Özlü'nün edebiyatını etkileyen bir felsefe olarak özne olma talebinin çerçevesini oluşturmaktadır. Bunun yanı sıra Özlü'nün insan anlayışı, toplumun yaşadığı krizlere tanıklığı ve sisteme getirdiği eleştirilerde varoluşçu olduğu kadar feminist bir söylem kurduğu görülmektedir. Yazar, kadın kimliğini geleneksel rollerden bağımsız olarak inşa ederken erkek egemen toplumla hesaplaşma içindedir. Bu bakımdan Simone de Beauvoir'ın kavramsallaştırdığı varoluşçu feminizm, Özlü'nün metinlerindeki kadınlık durumu ve umutlu varoluş ilişkisini açıklamada önemli bir kaynaktır. Tezer Özlü metinlerine bu gözle bakıldığında kendilik arayışının bir umut potansiyeli olarak anlamlandırılabileceği görülecektir. |
