The myth was well-known in the antiquity, but Reposianus gave the episode a moralizing turn and narrated the story in an original way. Reposianus' epyllion has never been translated into Polish not interpreter in detail in any Polish publication, that is why I present, besides the translation, an analysis and a short commentary as well.
