A diachronic study of exile in ancient, modern and contemporary Greece, drawing on the study of the vocabulary used to describe exile in ancient Greek and modern Greek, makes it possible to highlight a poetic cross of representations of the exile. These representations revolve around the recurring issues of exile, often already present since antiquity: they are those of the dual identity difficult to reconcile in a Europe and a Greece hit hard by the issue of immigration.
