| Sumario: | The course of Pediatric Dentistry proposes the integral management of the pediatric patient; being necessary that the professional in formation manages the behavior of the patient. Behavioral management in pediatric dentistry refers to the set of techniques used in the care of pediatric patients, which facilitate their collaboration and treatment. In order to promote the competences of this handling in the students in an efficient way, the teachers must teach them and practice them parallel to the academic contents and then transfer both learnings to the solution of complex problems. University teachers must know how to identify how their students learn and process information, as is the case of Z generation. These students expect flexible and open teachers to advise them and help them achieve their own goals, which are also adapted to their preferences, as they happen in games, services and technological gadgets. Behavior management techniques used by undergraduates should be practical and simple to apply. The use of video tutoring is an effective method to improve students' confidence in the use of behavior management techniques. There is limited research applied to university education at the local level. The objective of this article is to review and analyze updated scientific information on the teaching and learning process of behavior management techniques in undergraduate Z students.
