An Agent-Based Computational Framework for Distributed Data Analysis.
Major software tools for distributed-data analysis, such as MapReduce and Spark, examine data items on separate disks by streaming them into memory. We contrast data streaming against an agent-based approach that moves analyzing units through distributed data.
