| Sumario: | Dewey conceives education as a contextualized social practice. It is an activity that makes it possible to conserve and transform society. Education promotes not only the growth and development of the subject, but also promotes the improvement of the democratic society of which he is a part. There is, in today's societies, a broad consensus that democracy is the most appropriate system to allow the development of human beings. The form of government that is considered most appropriate for the Argentine Nation is democracy, however, it would be possible to analyze whether the conception of democracy with which the National Constitution and the Provincial Constitutions of liberal and universalist cut were geared, coincide with the agreements currently in validity of court apparently, at least in the speech, contextual and contingent, based on the agreement between equals. We should ask ourselves, then, what model of democracy do public policies allude to and from what concept of man and society are they organized, whether to a society made up of pre-constituted individuals or to individuals that are built, as Dewey argues, in social interaction and from what nuances highlight the importance of community life for personal selfrealization. Although in the discourse both inside and outside the school, it is understood that education in a democratic society promotes the growth and development of the subject, one might ask whether this progress effectively fosters the improvement of the democratic society of the that the subject himself is part. Dewey concibe la educación como una práctica social contextualizada. Se trata de una actividad que posibilita conservar y transformar la sociedad. La educación promueve, no sólo el crecimiento y el desarrollo del sujeto, sino que, además, propicia el mejoramiento de la sociedad democrática de la que él forma parte. Existe, en las sociedades actuales, amplio consenso respecto de que la democracia es el sistema más apropiado para permitir el desarrollo de los seres humanos. La forma de gobierno que se considera más apropiada para la Nación Argentina es la democracia, sin embargo, cabría analizar si la concepción de democracia con que se gestaron la Constitución Nacional y las Constituciones Provinciales de corte liberal y universalista, coinciden con los acuerdos actualmente en vigencia de corte aparentemente, al menos en el discurso, contextual y contingente, basados en el acuerdo entre iguales. Cabría cuestionarnos entonces ¿a qué modelo de democracia aluden las políticas públicas y desde que concepto de hombre y sociedad se organizan, si a una sociedad conformada por individuos pre-constituidos o a individuos que se construyen, como plantea Dewey, en la interacción social y desde qué matices resaltan la importancia de la vida comunitaria para la autorrealización personal. Si bien en el discurso tanto al interior de la escuela, como fuera de ella, se entiende que la educación en una sociedad democrática promueve el crecimiento y el desarrollo del sujeto, cabría preguntarnos si este progreso propicia efectivamente el mejoramiento de la sociedad democrática de la que el sujeto mismo forma parte. |
