| Sumario: | The study was implemented for the purpose of examining the effect of environment education supported by context-based learning approach on environmental attitudes, behaviors and success of 7th grade students. The study was applied to the 7th grade students receiving education in a public school in the city center of Muş during the school year of 2018-2019. In the study, quasiexperimental method and experimental design with pretest-posttest control group were used. A total of 57 students; 29 students in the experimental group and 28 students in the control group constituted the study group. Environment education was carried out by using context-based learning approach in the experimental group and teacher-centered educational methods in the control group. To collect data; Environmental Behavior Scale, Environmental Attitude Scale and Environmental Success Test were applied as pretest and posttest. In the study, it was concluded that environment education supported by context-based learning approach was significantly effective on developing environmental attitudes, behaviors and success of 7th grade students. Based on this result; it is believed that it is necessary to also include context-based learning approach in the process of environment education. Bu araştırma yaşam temelli öğrenme yaklaşımı ile destekli çevre eğitiminin ortaokul 7.sınıf öğrencilerinin çevreye yönelik tutum, davranış ve başarılarına nasıl bir etkisi olduğunu incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma 2018-2019 öğretim yılında Muş il merkezindeki bir devlet okulunda öğrenim gören ortaokul 7. sınıf öğrencileri üzerinde uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada yarı deneysel yöntem, ön test-son test kontrol gruplu deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. 7.sınıf şubelerinden bir şube kontrol, bir şube deney grubu olarak belirlenmiştir. Deney grubunda 29 öğrenci ve kontrol grubunda ise 28 öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 57 öğrenci araştırmanın çalışma grubunda bulunmaktadır. Deney grubunda yaşam temelli öğrenme yaklaşımı ile destekli çevre eğitimi, kontrol grubunda ise öğretmen merkezli öğretim yöntemleri kullanılarak çevre eğitimi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak Çevre Davranış Ölçeği, Çevre Tutum Ölçeği, Çevre Başarı Testi ön test ve son test olarak uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde Bağımsız Gruplar için t-Testi ve Bağımlı Gruplar için t-Testi uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada yaşam temelli öğrenme yaklaşımı ile destekli çevre eğitiminin 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin çevreye yönelik tutum, davranış ve başarı düzeylerini geliştirmede anlamlı seviyede etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu sonuca dayanarak çevre eğitimi sürecinde yaşam temelli öğrenmeye de yer verilmesinin gerektiği düşünülmektedir. |
