Laban created a system for observing, describing, and understanding of all forms of movement with regard to four major categories: body, effort, space and shape, connected by relationships (Bernardet et al., 2019). Sherborne took these concepts and created SDM specifically for mainstream children, children with special needs, and pre-school children. This paper will introduce the reader to SDM and how the model may be particularly helpful for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). pubtype: Academic Journal doctype: pictorial tables/charts Journal Article ougenre: Article language: English refInfo: holdings: @attributes: islocal: N |
