This patient on hemodialysis resilience scale (PHRS) was developed according to the scale development process by DeVellis (2017). Thirty-one publications on the subject were reviewed, and in-depth interviews with seven patients on hemodialysis were conducted. Items comprising the scale were reviewed and modified through evaluation by a panel of experts and face validity. For verification of validity, a content validity index for the items, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis were performed.
