Sumario:The influential factors in decreasing the quality of marital relations among Iranian couples during the first three months were assessed. There were significant differences in marital relationship quality (MRQ) outcomes at 0, 1, and 3 months based on the revised dyadic adjustment scale (RDAS) questionnaire. A substantial reduction in MRQ within three months of total assessment was determined as the RDAS values at 1- and 3-months post-marriage were 55.88 and 53.82, respectively. The women's emotional abuse had the highest effect on MRQ (p < 0.001). There is a necessity to combine pre-marital training programs and supportive measures during the early marriage years.
