ab: The European Court of Human Rights Grand Chamber changed the view of 9 January 2018 with the decision of 17 October 2019 and decided that it is possible to monitor employees with a hidden camera for reasonable and serious suspicion of crime. In this study, we will try to make the determinations by evaluating the aforementioned decision under the headings of legality, legitimacy, and compliance with democratic society requirements within the context of Article 8.
