The system consists of Tandy Corp.'s TRS-80 microcomputer which consists of a keyboard unit that contains the microprocessor and 4,000 bytes of memory, a television-like cathode ray tube that displays 15 lines of 65 characters, and a standard cassette recorder that is used to store programs and data on tape. By adding a machine language program written by programmer Michael Shrayer and called Electric Pencil, the TRS-80 can effectively simulate a visual display terminal. |
