| Sumario: | The purposes of this study are to examine the theoretical and pragmatic approaches to collaboration and coauthorship in a sample of the last 30 eyars of standard works, as well as to crituqe the unervalueing of collaborative research. Although many scholars engage in collaborative work, few take the time to actually name it as such and therefore place an appropriate value on it. With the importance placed upon publication asa the primary means of disseminating theory and research findings, collaborative kinds of inquiry need clearer definition that they have received to date. |
