The mathematical result presented allows a cultural decolinization leading to a possible understanding on the part of the student that Mathematics is not something completely foreign imported from outside Africa. The mathematical ideas extracted from an informal conversation with the traditional authorities of the municipality of Cuito can contribute to the optimization of the Teaching-Learning Process in the subject of Flat Geometry. O presente artigo apresenta uma abordagem relativa ao descongelamento de uma matemática nativa e intuitiva presente no pensamento das autoridades tradicionais do município do Cuito cujo processo de interpretação matemática sugere uma atividade motivacional e significativa no ensinoaprendizagem da Geometria plana, baseada no contexto do aluno. O resultado matemático apresentado permite uma descolinização cultural conducente à um possível entendimento por parte do aluno de que a Matemática não é algo completamente estranho importada de fora de África.
