This study examines food intake, meal patterns, and occurrences of risky behavior and food insecurity in 78 at-risk adolescents enrolled in the Teen and Police Service (TAPS) Academy in Houston, TX. Using data from a questionnaire developed with guidance from the Child Food Security Survey (CFSS) Module short form, we examine frequencies of food insecurity and how they relate to risky behavior patterns. Results of the study support the need for further analysis aimed at providing evidence of statistical relationships between adolescents' eating and behavioral patterns.
