| Sumario: | The article focuses on the hydroxychloroquine (HCQ ), a generic drug developed originally as a treatment for malaria. Topics include HCQ used in the treatment of COVID-19 disease; the use of HCQ for Covid in various countries has provided a quasi-experiment to assess its efficacy; and early use of HCQ in COVID-19 disease show a 78 per cent reduction in deaths per million compared with those with limited early use. |
