| Sumario: | This article serves to highlight the potential role of Movement Therapy for Sports (MTS®) in addressing significant gaps in current athletic training methods. Movement Therapy for Sports is a training system, developed by the author, which, building on dance/movement therapy principles, identifies, analyses, and offers solutions for overcoming numerous physical, mental, and emotional barriers that impede effective movement. Engagement with MTS® is hypothesized to offer elite athletes in particular a means of transforming attitudes and improving sports performance. |
