| Sumario: | The rejoining of oracle bone inscriptions is the basic work of the study, which has achieved remarkable success in the past 120 years. In recent years, there have been a number of influential works published on its progress, calling our attention to its importance. This article reviews the history of the rejoining of oracle bones and, by drawing on the author's own experience, discusses the following three aspects: (1) In the aspect of "history," define the earliest rejoining effort from different perspectives, divide the work into various stages, and discuss the characteristics of each stage and the trend of development; (2) Describe the rejoining methods in three areas and try to define certain characteristics of oracle bone restoration; (3) Specifically and critically look forward to the future of the rejoining work and advocate that it should evolve into a comprehensive integrated study of all relevant materials, emphasizing the importance of sorting and grouping. The article concludes that scientific and technological means should be introduced and given real effect and that the use of the results of the rejoining should continue to be promoted by a variety of means.
