Although students demonstrate more positive attitudes and superior academic performance when engaging in highly interactive online courses, many of the lecturers obliged to teach them are unaware of how to make them more interactive. In this article, a senior-level online course for students seeking a bachelor's degree in health promotion is used to describe how to establish an interactive online learning environment and to provide strategies for increasing student interactivity.
