This article aims to present the case study of the rural urban transformation of the municipality of Montenegro (Quindío, Colombia), which is part of a series of changes under a tourism model around the Coffee Cultural Landscape. The analysis is developed under the qualitative methodology, where cartography becomes the main tool. This makes it possible to establish a cross-section of information, between plans, maps and observations that reveal the transformation of rural land and public space in the urban area, that is, the rural urban heritage as an object of consumption for cultural tourism. El reconocimiento del Paisaje Cultural Cafetero ha promovido el desarrollo turístico de la región con un enfoque cultural y ecologico. Sin embargo, el Municipio de Montegro presenta una tranformación urbano rural, en torno a su atractivo principal, el Parque del Café. Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar la transformación de los espacios públicos (colectivos) como parte del proyecto turístico urbanorural en el municipio de Montengro (Quindío, Colombia), el cual, hace parte de una serie de cambios en torno al Paisaje Cultural Cafetero. El análisis se desarrolla bajo la metodología cualitativa, donde la cartografía se convierte en la principal herramienta.
