ab: For the Afro-diaspora, the Mexican State has presented itself as a containment entity that displays a series of practices that oscillate between the reaffirmation of its multi-cultural condition with the recognition of Afro-Mexicans, and the development of certain governmental exercises of administration, containment, extermination and even the reproduction of racist speeches against Afro-migrants. The present work tries to describe from an intersectional point of view, what are the state political paradoxes in the face of the Afro-diaspora, as well as the assemblages of the subjects --Afro-Mexicans and Afro-migrants-- that participate in it, through a historical and conceptual analysis in the period 2015-2020.
