This study is mainly focused on the pattern of use, awareness, perception, and source of obtaining e-cigarettes which will be a landmark in planning necessary regulation and programs. A cross-sectional study design was conducted among 383 University Malaysia Sabah students using questionnaire. The prevalence of ever users were 27.2% (95% CI of 22.8% to 31.9%). There was also significant statistical association obtained between factor ever heard of e-cigarettes among the respondent Fisher's exact test, p < 0.05 with use of e-cigarettes among the University Malaysia Sabah, Kota Kinabalu district students. Furthermore, reported that among the current ecigarette users 64.4% used e-cigarettes containing nicotine and none of them bought it from an authorized pharmacy.
