| Sumario: | Physical performance is an important factor among athletes who are prone to musculoskeletal injuries. Repeated movements and lack of time enough for recovery are the main reasons for those injuries. Normally once they face with a serious pain or injury, their physician will perform a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In this short review, we are trying to collect available evidences about the effectiveness of early detection of musculoskeletal pain and injuries. Once the physician and the athletes are aware of their injuries and pain in the early stages, it is easier to treat or control it. For this review, published papers from 2015 till now, available in Google Scholar and Scopus were included. The main findings of those papers confirmed that, early detection in golden time had a key role to prevent disability in athletes and increase their sport life.
