| Sumario: | Nausheen, a sixty-eight-year-old grandmother from Jamia Nagar, said she was disturbed by the spread of the Hindutva ideology under the governance of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).[12] She was afraid the party would continue to suppress Muslim rights in India if the secular people of the country did not speak against it. As a representative of her family, she visited Shaheen Bagh to support the anti-CAA protests initiated by the Muslim women protestors but refused to allow the younger members of her family to visit the site, especially her sons, out of worry for their safety. They had just met at Shaheen Bagh to protest the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) passed under the Bhartiya Janta Party's governance in India.
