This article reviews the most widely used treatment regimens and offers guidelines for the management and follow-up of patients with Helicobacter pylori infection in Colombia. El amplio espectro de enfermedades causadas por la infección Helicobacter pylori obliga a un diagnóstico oportuno y dar un tratamiento altamente eficaz, reduciendo el riesgo de morbilidad y aumentando la probabilidad de erradicación. Son varias las terapias que tienen respaldo en la literatura, por lo que se deben conocer sus ventajas y limitaciones, incluyendo las resistencias bacterianas locales y seleccionar la mejor opción.
