Methodology: Descriptive and cross-sectional study, 2,375 people with a diagnosis of COVID-19 attended via telephone call in this program participated. Results: The results indicate that 82.1% of the sample attended presented some type of mental disorder. The most prevalent disorders were anxiety (34.15%), depression (25.22%), acute stress (13.81%), panic disorder (3.24%), adjustment disorder (2.44%), eating disorders (1.64%), obsessive compulsive disorder (0.8%) and other mental disorders (0.8%). Conclusions: These findings suggest the need to establish promotion, prevention, and psychotherapeutic treatment actions to provide better psychological tools to the affected and at-risk population, to enable them to manage and strengthen their coping and adaptation capacity in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Objetivo: Este estudio determina la prevalencia de trastornos mentales en población peruana atendida vía llamadas telefónica en el programa “Te cuido Perú” en el contexto de la pandemia por COVID-19. Metodología: Estudio descriptivo y transversal, participaron 2,375 personas con diagnóstico de COVID-19 atendidas vía llamada telefónica en dicho programa. Resultados: Los resultados indican que el 82,1% de la muestra atendida presentaron algún tipo de trastorno mental. Los trastornos más prevalentes fueron: ansiedad (34,15%), depresión (25,22%), estrés agudo (13,81%), trastorno de pánico (3,24%), trastorno de adaptación (2,44%), trastornos alimenticios (1,64%), tras- torno obsesivo compulsivo (0,8%) y otros trastornos mentales (0,8%).
