| Sumario: | Based on the data on the situation in which Brazil finds itself in relation to reading rates, was this case study carried out to verify whether adults can be stimulated to literary reading through continuing education in a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)?. For the investigation, the inseparability between Research and Extension was effected through the planning and implementation of the Extension Course: Training of Readers and Reading Mediation, in the EAD modality, in order to identify the reading behavior of the Course's participants and enable the development of skills of reading mediators, through continuing education. In the theoretical corpus of this study, the concepts of reading and literature are briefly presented, which are supported by authors such as: Soares, Rösing, Martins, Moro, Estabel, Santos, among others. authors Mattar, Tarouco, Brunetta, Antunes and others. In the methodology, the stages of the Course are described, informing its activities and objectives and for the collection of data and analysis of the contributions of the subjects, in addition to observation and interactions experienced in the activities carried out, a semi-structured interview was applied. As a result, it was possible to verify that the subjects recognized themselves as more readers and with more conditions to perform reading mediation in their professional practice. A partir dos dados sobre a situação em que se encontra o Brasil em relação aos índices de leitura, foi realizado este estudo de caso para verificar se adultos podem ser estimulados à leitura literária por meio de formação continuada em Ambiente Virtual de Aprendizagem (AVA)?. Para a investigação, efetivou-se a indissociabilidade entre a Pesquisa e a Extensão através do planejamento e realização do Curso de Extensão: Formação de Leitores e Mediação de Leitura, na modalidade EAD, com o objetivo de identificar o comportamento leitor dos participantes do Curso e possibilitar o desenvolvimento de competências de mediadores de leitura, através da formação continuada. No corpus teorico deste estudo são apresentados brevemente os conceitos de leitura e literatura, os quais são amparados por autores tais como: Soares, Rösing, Martins, Moro, Estabel, Santos, entre outros e no que diz respeito a EAD, sustentam o referencial os autores Mattar, Tarouco, Brunetta, Antunes e outros. Na metodologia são descritas as etapas do Curso, informando suas atividades e objetivos e para a coleta dos dados e análise das contribuições dos sujeitos, além da observação e das interações vivenciadas nas atividades realizadas, foi aplicada uma entrevista semi-estruturada. Como resultado foi possível verificar que os sujeitos se reconheceram como mais leitores e com mais condições de desempenharem a mediação de leitura na atuação profissional. |
