The study was conducted between the dates of June 18, 2017, and January 15, 2018 with 181 patients treated at the Substance Use Treatment and Training Center. Data were collected using the "Personal Information Form", "Internalized Stigmatization Scale for Mental Illness (ISSMI), "Treatment Motivation Questionnaire (TMQ)" and Self-Efficacy Scale. A significant negative correlation was observed between self-efficacy total score and total score of the ISSMI (p <.05). A significant positive correlation was determined between treatment motivation total score and total score of ISSMI (p <.05). Self-efficacy levels were observed to decrease with increasing internalized stigmatization levels of the patients, and the level of treatment motivation increased with increasing level of internalized stigmatization.
