The short treatise remains only in manuscript and is rarely mentioned by scholars dealing with the history of the problem of immortality; however, it is a witness to the considerable popularity of the issue during the Renaissance. The article shows that the main arguments used by Agli relate to the metaphysics of light and the ontic affinity between the human mind and its most perfect objects of cognition. It is also demonstrated that these arguments largely coincide with those found in Marsilio Ficino's opuscula theologica and the Platonic Theology. Dans cet article, lautrice explique brièvement la faveur dont jouissait la question de l'immortalité de l'âme au XVe siècle, présente l'activité intellectuelle et la bibliographie d'Antonio degli Agli, un émi-nent humaniste toscan du Quattrocento, et analyse le contenu du traité De immortalitate animae. Ce court traité d'Agli ne nous est parvenu que sous forme manuscrite et il est rarement cité par les spécialistes s'intéressant à l'histoire du problème de l'immortalité. Toutefois, il témoigne de l'intérêt considérable que soulève cette question à la Renaissance. Le présent article montre que les principaux arguments dont Agli tire profit sont en lien avec la métaphysique de la lumière et l'affinité ontique entre l'esprit humain et ses objets cognitifs les plus parfaits.
