| Sumario: | A sustainable development of tourism under modern conditions requires new approaches and systemic solutions. The tourism industry is going through a difficult phase. This prompts a review of approaches to pursuing sustainable development. Purpose of the article: Analysis of the sustainable development of tourism and possibilities of interdisciplinary research in the field of sustainable tourism. Task: Analysis of approaches to understanding sustainable development; Identification of opportunities to strengthen sustainability in tourism; To explore the role of the historian in modern interdisciplinary studies on the sustainable development of tourism in the province of Salzburg. Now the creation of a regional system of tourism research is very relevant. Objective: To study the needs, expectations, problems and potential of the region’s industry through a survey of the main players. The result of the research program: the creation of new tourism products to make Salzburg a year-round tourism region. However, this requires the formation of an interdisciplinary team (historians, geographers, ecologists, but also of economists, sociologists and more). In this research, it is important to strengthen the information and communication mobility that brings together the experiences of all those involved in the tourism process. This research makes it possible to create a basis for systematic historical knowledge in the field of tourism. Methods: Analysis and synthesis, retrospective, prospective, comparative method. Eine nachhaltige Entwicklung des Tourismus unter modernen Bedingungen erfordert neue Ansätze und systemische Lösungen. Die Tourismusbranche befindet sich in einer schwierigen Phase. Dies veranlasst eine Überprüfung der Ansätze zur Verfolgung einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung. Zweck des Artikels: Analyse der nachhaltigen Entwicklung des Tourismus und Möglichkeiten interdisziplinärer Forschung im Bereich nachhaltiger Tourismus. Aufgabe: Analyse der Ansätze zum Verständnis nachhaltiger Entwicklung; Identifikation der Möglichkeiten zur Stärkung der Nachhaltigkeit im Tourismus; Die Rolle des Historikers in modernen interdisziplinären Studien zur nachhaltigen Entwicklung des Tourismus im Bundesland Salzburg zu erforschen. Jetzt ist sehr relevant die Schaffung eines regionalen Systems der Tourismusforschung. Ziel: Untersuchung der Bedürfnisse, Erwartungen, Probleme und des Potenzials der Industrie der Region durch eine Umfrage unter den wichtigsten Akteuren. Das Ergebnis des Forschungsprogramms: die Schaffung neuer touristischer Produkte, um Salzburg zu einer ganzjährigen Tourismusregion zu machen. Dies erfordert jedoch die Bildung eines interdisziplinären Teams (Historikern, Geografen, Ökologen, sondern auch von Ökonomen, Soziologen und mehr). In dieser Forschung ist es wichtig, die Informations- und Kommunikationsmobilität zu stärken, die die Erfahrungen aller am touristischen Prozess beteiligten bündelt. Diese Forschung ermöglicht es, eine Grundlage für systematische historische Erkenntnisse im Bereich des Tourismus zu schaffen.
