Sumario:The article focuses on evaluating the accuracy of intensity classification algorithms for wrist-worn accelerometers in measuring physical activity (PA) during daily living activities and treadmill walking. The study involved seven male participants who performed various tasks while wearing an ActiGraph GT9X accelerometer, with oxygen consumption measured as a criterion. Results indicated that both the Hildebrand 2014 and Montoye 2020 algorithms tended to overestimate moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) and underestimate light physical activity (LPA), highlighting the need for further research to enhance the precision of wrist-based accelerometer algorithms for real-world activities.
