PURPOSE: To translate, adapt and establish the psychometric properties of the Greek version of the Flodén ATODAI (Attitudes Toward Organ Donor Advocacy Instrument) in terms of validity and reliability. MATERIAL-METHOD: A multi-step approach were used: Initial translation; Back-translation; Review and synthesis of these translations; Expert panel (N=7) rated the instrument for content validity index on each item (I-CVI) and on the instrument (S-CVI); Reliability testing with test and retest was analyzed with the appropriate correlation coefficient (r) and Cronbach's alpha coefficient (a) (N= 37); Delphi technique procedure, with a panel of N=10. RESULTS: The content validity index was calculated on each item as well as on the entire 46-item Flodén ATODAI [Greek version]. I-CVI ranged from .29 to 1.0, mean .95 and the S-CVI (averaging) was .95.r = 0.470 -- 1,000, all having a significance value of P < .01. In total, 45 of the items had a moderate or higher strength of correlation. Homogeneity reliability was estimated by a and was calculated for the 40 items with r >.70. The overall α was .96. The Delphi technique procedure resulted in adjustments after both round I and round II, involved emphasizing the core of the items by re-wording, and establishing that consensus was achieved. CONCLUSION: Undertaking this multi-step approach has effectively ensured that the cross-cultural adaptation procedure resulted in a stronger instrument for valid and reliable measurements. ΕΙΣΆΓΩΓΗ: Η συμπεριφορά των ειδικευμένων νοσηλευτών είναι το «κλειδί» για την επιτυχή διαχείριση των δωρητών στις μονάδες εντατικής θεραπείας (αυξημένης φροντίδας), καθώς οι ενέργειες και η συμπεριφορά τους συνδέονται άμεσα με την απόφαση για έγκριση ή απόρριψη της δωρεάς οργάνων. ΣΚΟΠΟΣ: Η μετάφραση, η προσαρμογή και ο καθορισμός των ψυχομετρικών ιδιοτήτων της ελληνικής έκδοσης του Flodén ATODAI (Attitudes Toward Organ Donor Advocacy Instrument) όσον αφορά την εγκυρότητα και την αξιοπιστία. ΎΛΙΚΟ-ΜΕΘΟΔΟΣ: Χρησιμοποιήθηκε μια προσέγγιση πολλαπλών βημάτων: Αρχική μετάφραση; Αντίστροφη μετάφραση; Αναθεώρηση και σύνθεση αυτών των μεταφράσεων. Η ειδική ομάδα (N = 7) αξιολόγησε το εργαλείο ως προς την εγκυρότητα περιεχομένου για κάθε στοιχείο (I-CVI) και συνολικά για το εργαλείο (S-CVI). Για τον έλεγχο της αξιοπιστίας μέσω της δοκιμής test-retest χρησιμοποιήθηκε ο κατάλληλος συντελεστής συσχέτισης. Επιπλέον, υπολογίστηκε και ο συντελεστής άλφα του Cronbach (N = 37). Τέλος, χρησιμοποιήθηκε και η τεχνική των Δελφών (Delphi) με ένα πάνελ 10 ατόμων. ΠΟΤΕΛΕΣΜΆΤΆ: Η εγκυρότητα περιεχομένου υπολογίστηκε για κάθε στοιχείο καθώς και για ολόκληρο το Flodén ATODAI [ελληνική έκδοση] αποτελούμενο από 46 στοιχεία. Το I-CVI κυμαινόταν από 0,29 έως 1,0, με μέσο όρο 0,95 και το S-CVI (μέσος όρος) ήταν 0,95. r = 0,470 - 1.000, όλα με p<.01. Συνολικά, 45 από τα στοιχεία είχαν μέτρια ή υψηλή συσχέτιση. Η εσωτερική συνέπεια υπολογίστηκε με το συντελεστή άλφα του Cronbach για τα 40 στοιχεία με r> 0,70. Το συνολικό α ήταν 0,96. Η διαδικασία της τεχνικής Delphi οδήγησε σε προσαρμογές μετά από τους γύρους Ι και ΙΙ, δίνοντας έμφαση στον πυρήνα των στοιχείων με την εκ νέου διατύπωση και την επιβεβαίωση της επίτευξης συναίνεσης.
