| Sumario: | This article reports that Erskine Macdonald, an enterprising publisher, is the unofficial publisher in general to the poets of the British Army. It is informed that a letterhead of 1918 gives the Managing Director of Erskine Macdonald Ltd. as Galloway Kyle, who was also "Honorary Director" of the Poetry Society. Kyle (1875-1967) had founded the Society and its Journal in 1909. In 1911 he offered the editorship of the magazine to Harold Monro, who knew that the Society's standards were very much lower than his own but nevertheless rashly agreed to act if he could have some editorial freedom and a new title, the Poetry Review.
