Considering the effects of the media on society, it is necessary to be extremely careful when conveying war-related issues. In this direction, the media should be extremely careful while conveying the war-related issues to the society. The attitude of the media in the face of an event that deeply affects societies such as war becomes clear as an important issue. The representation of the war in the media, which greatly affects the society in many aspects such as physical, psychological, economic, cultural, social, etc., is important. In this period, the fact that it is very easy and fast to access information and images about the war is a very decisive factor in this respect. In this age where technology is an indispensable part of life, it is necessary to examine the reflection of the two states' physical war on the media. Within the study, according to https://www.alexa.com/topsites/countries/TR address used in many studies, the most read Yeni Akit and Sözcü newspapers in Turkey were determined as the sample. By using keyword ‘Ukraine’ through the advanced search settings of Twitter, news can be evaluated ethically in both newspapers within 7 days from the start of the Ukraine War was subjected to content analysis. As a result of the data, ethical violations made by the newspapers were grouped under the categories of ‘use of expressions that may cause panic and fear in society", ‘use of expressions that increase conflict’,‘use of photographs and videos that may have a negative impact on society’. As a result, the newspapers make up the sample deal with the war news in a way that will have a negative effect on the society and they need to organize their content by considering the public interest. Bu çalışma, 24.02.2022 tarihinde Rusya’nın Ukrayna’ya saldırı düzenlemesi ve Ukrayna Savaşı’nın başlayarak tüm dünyanın gündemine oturmasından hareketle, savaş haberlerinde etik kavramını değerlendirme altına almaktadır. Medya doğal yapısı gereği bireylerin duyguları, düşünceleri ve davranışlarına etkisi oldukça büyüktür. Medyanın, toplum üzerindeki söz konusu etkileri göz önünde bulundurulduğunda ise savaşa yönelik konuları aktarırken son derece dikkatli olması gerekmektedir. Savaş gibi toplumları derinden etkileyen bir olay karşısında medyanın tutumu önemli bir konu olarak belirginleşmektedir. Toplumu fiziksel, psikolojik, ekonomik, kültürel, sosyal vb birçok açıdan büyük oranda etkileyen savaşın medyada temsili önem taşımaktadır. İçerisinde bulunulan bu dönemde, savaşa dair bilgilere ve görüntülere ulaşımın oldukça kolay ve hızlı olması da bu açıdan oldukça belirleyici bir etmendir. Teknolojinin hayatın vazgeçilmez bir parçası olduğu bu çağda, iki devletin fiziki açıdan savaşa girmesinin medyaya yansımasının incelenmesi gerekmektedir. Çalışma kapsamında, birçok araştırmada kullanılan https://www.alexa.com/topsites/countries/TR adresine göre, Türkiye’de en çok okunan Yeni Akit ve Sözcü gazeteleri örneklem olarak belirlenmiştir. Twitter’ın gelişmiş arama ayarları üzerinden ‘Ukrayna’ anahtar kelimesi kullanılarak Ukrayna Savaşı’nın başladığı tarihten itibaren 7 günlük süre içerisinde iki gazetenin de etik açıdan değerlendirilebilecek haberleri içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Veriler sonucunda gazetelerin yaptığı etik ihlaller ‘toplumu paniğe ve korkuya sevk edebilecek ifadelerin kullanılması’, ‘çatışmayı arttırıcı ifadelerin kullanılması’ ve ‘toplum üzerinde olumsuz etki yaratabilecek fotoğraf ve video kullanılması’ kategorileri altında toplanmıştır.
