For this, we interview to five gay men which produced or just were to the parties for to know about motivations, dynamics and effects of performances and its relationship with public knowledge about AIDS. El presente artículo problematiza la influencia del conocimiento público del VIH/SIDA en las acciones performáticas llevadas a cabo por personas LGBTI en Spandex: una serie de fiestas underground celebradas en Santiago de Chile entre los años 1991 y 1992, las cuales fueron pioneras en generar instancias nocturnas de entretención en donde convergieron múltiples identidades, impulsando un destape cultural capitalino ansiado por quienes sufrieron los estragos de la represión, en todas sus esferas, durante la dictadura militar (1973-1990).
