| Sumario: | The subject of analysis is the idiostyle of Momo Kapor's columns published in the book entitled Vodič kroz srpski mentalitet. The author's individual discourse style of columns is a collection of specific expressive means which distinguish the language of Momo Kapor from other Serbian writers. Communicative, stylistic, verbal and cognitive style of M. Kapor reflects the author's personality and his perception of the world. We have isolated and analyzed stylistically marked usage of linguistic devices in order to show the characteristics of Kapor's communicative, stylistic, verbal, and cognitive style. Kapor's communicative style in the analyzed columns is informal and he uses jargon and colloquial phraseology in order to transform the genre of column. In Vodič kroz srpski mentalitet Kapor performs a kind of painting with words by developing descriptions through different types of repetition, antithesis, metaphorical epithets, metaphor, comparisons, personification, and antonomasia. The linguostylistic analysis shows that the peculiar structural organization of the discourse of the analyzed columns is achieved through the use of cumulation, syntactic parallelism, which is sometimes enhanced by anaphora, the use of epiphonemes and antithesis.
