Method: Systematic review protocol, built according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) and the Joanna Briggs Institute's (JBI) methodology. Studies will be evaluated by two independent researchers in the following databases: Latin America and the Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS), Nursing Database (BDENF), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), and Excerpta Medica Database (Embase). Studies published in Portuguese, English, or Spanish will be included, and the search will not be restricted by publication date. Animal or in vitro studies, reviews, letters to the editor, and case studies will be excluded.
