These cannot be placed above the interests of science and society. For this reason, in addition to the informed consent form which is obtained from the patient or healthy person who will participate in the clinical trial by obtaining the written consent of himself/herself or his/her legal representative, especially the volunteers must be insured. Although there is a guide prepared for insurance procedures in clinical trials in Turkey. The evaluation, functionality and content of insurance policies cannot be carried out accurately and rationally by the parties participating in the clinical trials. This study tries to explain the legislation related to the insurance procedures in clinical research and the points to be considered in these matters. And also, an insurance policy checklist has been prepared for use of related parties. Klinik araştırmalarda gönüllülerin hakları, güvenliği ve esenliği dikkate alınması gereken en önemli noktadır. Bunlar, bilimin ve toplumun çıkarlarından üstün tutulamaz. Bu nedenle, bizzat kendisinin veya kanuni temsilcisinin yazılı oluru alınmak suretiyle klinik araştırmaya iştirak edecek hasta veya sağlıklı kişilerden alınan bilgilendirilmiş gönüllü olur formu yanında özellikle gönüllülerin sigortalanması gerekir. Türkiye’de klinik araştırmalarda sigortalama işlemlerine yönelik hazırlanmış bir kılavuz mevcut olsa da sigorta poliçelerinin değerlendirilmesi, işlevselliği ve içeriği klinik araştırmaya katılan taraflarca doğru ve akılcı bir şekilde gerçekleştirilememektedir.
