The aim of this study is to evaluate the attitudes of art education students to visual arts teaching. The study, in which the descriptive research model was used, included 75 students studying at the Department of Art Education. The data were obtained using the Student Information Form and the Scale of Attitude About Visual Arts Course (SAAVAC). The data were evaluated in the SPSS package program (Ver: 22.0). The average age of the students is 22.08 (SD: 2.48) years. 74.7% of them are women and 24% are fourth grade students. The students' mean score of SAAVAC is 74.76 (SD: 13.50). The mean score of the Self-Confidence was 30.65 (SD: 5.84), Cognitive Awareness 15.15 (SD: 3.19), Positive Beliefs 10.16 (SD: 2.23) and Cognitive Control 18.80 (SD: 4.07). Female students' mean scores on SAAVAC, Cognitive Awareness and Cognitive Control are higher than boys and the difference is significant (p <0.001). While there was no difference between the grades between the mean SAAVAC scores (F: 2.39, P: 0.07), the mean score of the Cognitive Difference (F: 4.98 P: 0.003) and the Cognitive Control (F: 3.79 P: 0.014) increased as the grade level increased, and the difference was statistically significant (p <0.05). Art students show a positive attitude above the medium level about the teaching of visual arts course. Gender and grade level are effective in developing positive attitudes in visual arts teaching. Görsel sanatlar öğretimine yönelik öğrencilerin sahip olduğu inanç ve duygunun bileşkesi olan görsel sanatlar tutumu öğrencinin derse istekliliği ve başarısını etkileyen önemli bir faktördür. Bu anlayışla araştırma, resim-iş eğitimi öğrencilerinin görsel sanatlar öğretimine yönelik tutumlarının değerlendirilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Resim-İş Eğitimi Bölümünde öğrenim gören 75 öğrencinin yer aldığı çalışmada betimsel araştırma modeli kullanılmıştır. Veriler Öğrenci Bilgi Formu ve Görsel Sanatlar Öğretimine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği (GSÖYTÖ) ile elde edilmiş ve SPSS paket programında değerlendirilmiştir. Yaş ortalaması 22.08 (SS:2.48) yıl olan öğrencilerin %74.7'si kadın, %24'ü dördüncü sınıf öğrencisidir. Öğrencilerin GSÖYTÖ puan ortalaması 74.76 (SS:13.50) iken, ölçeğin alt boyutu olan Özgüven 30.65 (SS:5.84), Bilişsel Farkındalık 15.15 (SS:3.19), Olumlu İnançlar 10.16 (SS:2.23) ve Bilişsel Kontrol 18.80 (SS:4.07) olarak bulunmuştur. Kız öğrencilerin erkeklere göre GSÖYTÖ ve Bilişsel Farkındalık ve Bilişsel Kontrol alt boyutlarından yüksek puan almışlardır ve aradaki fark önemli bulunmuştur (p<0.001). GSÖYTÖ toplam puan ortalaması arasında sınıflar arasında fark yokken (F:2.39 P:0.07), ölçeğin alt boyutu olan Bilişsel Farklılık (F:4.98 P:0.003) ve Bilişsel Kontrol (F:3.79 P:0.014) puan ortalaması sınıf düzeyi yükseldikçe yükselmiş ve aradaki fark önemli bulunmuştur (p<0.05).
