The object of study of this work will revolve around the crime of sodomy committed with minors, in 18th century Valencia. Specifically, in the case included in the inquisitorial process against Vicent Sanchis Barrera, nicknamed "Miracielos", a tonsured clergyman who resided in the orphanage of the General Hospital of Valencia, where he worked as a teacher of Christian doctrine. Vicent Sanchis was accused of the heinous crime of sodomy by the Inquisition Court of Valencia, which ordered his arrest on 17 December 1746 and condemned him on 5 May 1747.
