L'objectiu d'aquest article és pensar la figura de Vicent Manuel Branchat, mossén i autor d'obres d'inicis del segle XIX. Així, repassem els estudis previs que els investigadors i especialistes li han dedicat, tot just, partint de l'edició de la Pesa chiqueta en un acte, editada per Joan Fuster i publicada en La decadència al País Valencià.
