| Sumario: | Relying on a careful interpretative reading of the will of Isabel de Borja (c. 1400-1468), this paper examines how this noble woman contributed to projecting an image of power in her lineage. This case study, which focuses on the testament of a Borja, also sheds light on some issues of women's daily life, patronage strategies and practices of female religiosity and sociability in the context of the Valencian cultural milieu in the transition from the Middle to the Modern Age. A partir de la lectura atenta i interpretativa del testament d'Isabel de Borja (c. 1400-1468) s'examina com aquesta xicoteta noble va contribuir a projectar una imatge de poder en el llinatge. Aquest estudi de cas centrat en la memòria testamentària d'una Borja permet també llançar llum sobre algunes qüestions de la vida quotidiana de les dones, les estratègies de mecenatge i les pràctiques de religiositat i sociabilitat femenines i sobre el context cultural valencià en el trànsit de l'Edat Mitjana a la Moderna. |
