Summary:The article reports on the University of Chicago Press announcing that Mary Hawkesworth at Rutgers University has been appointed as editor of "Signs" for the journal's 2005-10 editorial term. Hawkesworth will be assisted by a distinguished group of associate editors drawn from her colleagues at Rutgers, New Jersey. Also "Signs" plans to introduce soon a Web-based peer review system that will allow direct submission of manuscripts via the Internet. This online peer review system will cut time and postage costs for authors.
