| Sumario: | The article focuses on the trends in child care and early childhood development policy in Canada and the United States. Government's role in education has only become controversial in the past few decades, much more so in the United States than in Canada, as critics have claimed governments have failed to deliver effective and efficient education programs. Many child care advocates hope for a wholistic model that would provide wrap-around child care programs for children enrolled in early education and development programs and child care for younger children. |
