| Sumario: | Old age is integrated with its physiological, biological, psychological, social, cultural, and economic aspects. To understand this period, it is important to know the multidimensional characteristics of aging. Nowadays, elderly individuals make use of digital technologies to maintain their lives functionally. The use of digital technologies in old age brings about the concept of gerontechnology. Gerontechnology is a multidisciplinary field that aims to develop supportive systems, software, and devices for the elderly and combines gerontology and technology. Designing functional products for the elderly and more effective use of digital technologies contribute to social adaptation processes by improving the quality of elderly life. Digital technologies have a strengthening effect in preventing age-related physical, social, and psychological barriers in addition to maintaining the daily activities of the elderly. The use of digital technologies in social work practices is considered a key solution in responding to the diversified elderly needs. Therefore, this study aims to review the scope of gerontechnological social work practice via digital technologies and social work practices for the elderly. At the end of the study, recommendations were made on how to structure gerontechnological social work practices.
