Method: We asked ChatGPT to write a satirical essay comparing SpongeBob Squarepants to Shakespeare's Hamlet and examined its ability to create a cohesive essay using abstract thinking. Findings: ChatGPT's comparison of Hamlet and SpongeBob was successful, comprehensive, and convincing, demonstrating the ability to make judgments and to use appropriate metaphors and idioms.
